We have replaced our routine (very safe, early) amnios with an
equally good, maternal blood test utilizing circulating fetal DNA
fragments.
This test identifies or excludes the commonest chromosome
problems and confirms gender from 8 weeks after conception. Super
resolution and fetal DNA analysis are fully complementary.
Any pregnant woman can now elect wellness genetic testing,
something we have been promoting for the last 25 years and which is in
2013 more complete and relaible than ever before.
